Your Consultation

Once you decide to include live painting in your wedding celebration, we chat on the phone and discuss your painting. Some clients are very specific about the scene, while others allow the artist to observe and decide on-site. Either way, the conversation allows us to understand who you are and the type of work that best describes and inspires you. Because we believe this painting will become a family heirloom, something to be cherished by your family for generations, we listen very carefully to everything you say about who you are and how you envision your love story to be immortalized in a fine art oil painting.

Classical Techniques

Before we begin the process of creating your heirloom painting, we meticulously prepare the surface. We use oil-primed linen, canvas, or panels prepared with gesso handcrafted in the tradition of the old masters. Each surface is underpainted in a neutral tone in keeping with academic traditions. Finally, your painting will be varnished, signed by the artist, and ready to frame. We also offer framing upon request

Alla Prima

On location at your wedding, Hope sets up her easel early in an area that is unobtrusive. Fleeting light, color, emotion, and gesture all inform and inspire her compositions. This imbibes her work with a fluid and naturalistic style. She keeps that same energy and movement alive in her studio as she transforms your painting into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Crating and Shipping

Each painting is professionally wrapped and placed in a custom made crate and shipped fully insured. We allow 60 days to complete and ship each painting.
